About Judy Sugg
Judy is a self taught artist who has painted for over 40 years. She knew in high school the first time she picked up a paint brush that she wanted to be an artist and was encouraged by art teachers to continue her art studies Real life got in the way and Judy ended up working in the collections industry for many years, but continued to paint and sell art to family, friends, and co-workers developing her style and expertise. She moved to Barrie, Ontario with her family 27 years ago where she started her own business called Inspired Creation hand painted t-shirts with her designs.she also showed at different galleries in the area.
In 2014 Judy and her new husband moved to the Orillia, Ontario Canada area and opened an art gallery in town called Coach House Gallery which included her landscape paintings as well as local artists work. After 3 years operating the gallery it was closed to spend more time travelling with her husband and spending time painting in her home studio.
Painting in acrylic and watercolors is her passion and nature is her main inspiration as it's beauty is found everywhere and given it's unlimited diversity she always has new ideas to fill her limitless imagination. Judy has always had a need to learn new art forms, she has done mosaics, murals, glass painting, alcohol ink, painted jewelry and so on. To her painting is something she has to do, she hopes her work inspires, evokes an emotion or memory of a place in time in your own life!
